Copycat Restaurant Recipes -

Applebee's Orange Chicken

• 4 breaded chicken breast fillets, cut into pieces and fried
• 2 tbsp oil
• 1 tspn minced garlic
• 1½ tspn grated orange rind
• 1 cup orange juice
• ½ cup hoisin sauce
• dash cayenne pepper
• ¼ cup sugar
• salt and pepper, to taste

1. Sauté garlic in oil for 1 minute.
2. Add rest of ingredients and bring to boil; cook, stirring for 3 minutes.
3. Reduce heat and simmer till sauce thickens.
4. To serve pour sauce over chicken.
